Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 of 1983 in Worthington, Ohio is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills respectively on ABC's Lost television show. She was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents separated to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. As she struggled financially, she was able to land her first part as Rachel's Room's title character the online video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. Her performance as Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder in the TV film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her an award nomination for the Young Artist Award. In 2004, Grace was chosen to play Shannon Rutherford in the television series Lost on which she was the main cast member for the first two seasons winning a Screen Actors Guild Award shared with the ensemble cast. Grace quit the show in 2005 to pursue a more significant role in movies, and had a role alongside Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. The following year, she appeared on screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club and, opposite the Liam Neeson character Kim Mills as Kim Mills in Taken. She reprised the role as Kim Mills in Taken 2 (2012) and Taken 3 (2014).She played the lead role Alice In Malice in Wonderland a modern adaptation of Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to Shannon's character in Lost for two episodes, which included the final episode of the series. In 2013, she was in the six-season of Californication. She plays Faith as a female groupie and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. A member of the Gyllenhaal clan, she is the daughter of filmmakers Stephen Gyllenhaal and Naomi Achs and the older cousin of the actor Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career as a teenager with small roles in several of her father's films and appeared with her brother in the cult favorite Donnie Darko (2001). Her subsequent roles included Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind in 2002, as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal won critical praise for her performance as a lead character actress in Secretary (2002) which is the erotic drama about romance and Sherrybaby (2006). In 2006, she was also nominated by the Golden Globe Award. The year 2006 was the time she starred in numerous commercially successful movies including World Trade Center. However it was her performance as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). In the wake of her performance that was a hit as a mother who is not married of Crazy Heart (2009), she was awarded an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She then appeared in dramas and comedies, including Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 In addition, she appeared as a Secret Service Agent in White House Down, an action thriller from 2013, a musician in Frank (2014), and The lead for the lead role in The Kindergarten Teacher, a drama that was released in the year of 2018. Gyllenhaal made her debut as a director and writer in 2021 with her drama about psychological issues The Lost Daughter. For the film, she won an award for the Best Screenplay Award at the Venice International Film Festival and was nominated for an Academy Award.
