Alexandra-Maria-Lara
Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actor who is employed on TV and in films is well known for movies like Rush as well as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Being the sole daughter of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra began her career in showbiz at a young age. She was a lead actress in TV dramas as young as 16 years old. In the Oscar nominated film Downfall her character as the Secretary Traudljunge of Adolf Hitler was also highly praised. Other Oscar nominated movies featuring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex. Through the years, Alexandra was involved in numerous noteworthy national and international projects. The projects include British biographical films Control Greek dramatic film The Dust of Time French historical Miniseries Napoleon, amongst others. She was also an active member of The Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
