Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. Her childhood was spent listening to classic and old boleros, and the traditional songs of romantics and ranchero. Ana loves tangos. She also loves operas, and every form of drama. At the age 16, she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started giving her a more intensive vocal instruction. Music lessons continued throughout the School of Music of Guadalajara University. In the following years, she was a student at The School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many opera ensembles as well as chamber groups. After 2000, she emigrated to the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. In 2007, she settled in her current home in Southern California. She sings in Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The passion and love she has for art, music, and performing has her involved with many local organizations as a performer and teacher. Ana was also a member of both the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in the Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to encourage younger generations to continue the tradition.
